What is Eid Al Etihad?

Eid Al Etihad is the UAE National Day. It marks the union of the Emirates on 2 December 1971, and on 2 December 2026 the country celebrates its 55th National Day. Streets, homes and buildings are decorated in the colours of the flag, and many families and friends spend the holiday evenings together.

On 2 December the National Day fireworks in Abu Dhabi are fired from the sea at around 9 PM – the plan for that evening is below. A private boat is a relaxed way to spend one of these evenings with your own group, away from the busy roads.

The National Day yacht package

On the evenings of 1, 2 and 3 December 2026 our boats are booked as one fixed package instead of by the hour. Each package lasts 4 hours, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and every boat takes one private group per evening.

Regular hourly bookings are closed on these three evenings, so the package is the way to book a boat at that time. The captain and crew are included, as on every One Tours trip.

How the package price works

The package price is twice the normal hourly price of the boat, multiplied by 4 hours. For example, a yacht that normally costs AED 1,000 per hour costs AED 8,000 for the whole National Day package. The price is for the whole boat, not per person.

Every boat card on this page shows its package price. If a card says the price is on request, send us a message on WhatsApp and we will reply with the exact price.

Fireworks night – 2 December

On 2 December the National Day fireworks in Abu Dhabi are fired from the sea at around 9 PM, and the Corniche roads are packed that evening. So the plan on 2 December is different: be at the marina by 6 PM and relax on board, the boat sails at 8 PM, you watch the fireworks from the water and we are back at the marina at 10 PM. Same package price. Want to sail from 6 PM? That is possible at an extra cost – ask us on WhatsApp. We make sure you are on board early, and the yachts available for this evening are limited – please book now. On 1 and 3 December the package is the usual 4-hour cruise, 6:30 to 10:30 PM.

National Day on the water in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has calm water and many islands, which makes an evening on a houseboat or a yacht very relaxed. Houseboats are like floating villas with wide decks and plenty of seating, perfect for families and big groups, while yachts suit smaller groups.

How to book

Send us the boat you like, the evening (1, 2 or 3 December) and the number of guests on WhatsApp. We check that the boat is still free for that evening and confirm the booking details with you. Each boat takes one group per evening, so it is a good idea to ask early.
